WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU STAND FOR MALCOLM?
Today Christopher Pyne made a liar out of his Prime Minister and started the Governments slow shuffle away from its toxic $80 billion tax giveaway for big business.
When asked to commit to the full company tax package, this was the best Pyne could muster:
But if we cant get it through the Senate, we cant get it through the Senate.
- Christopher Pyne, Sky News , 25 May 2018
But Turnbull has promised the Parliament and the Australian people that he is 100 per cent committed to the full package:
Our commitment is to get the tax enterprise plan passed in this parliament. And I can assure the honourable member that we are committed to it. We will be committed to it today and we'll be committed to it at the next election, and we welcome a contest with the Leader of the Opposition on tax. We welcome it.
Malcolm Turnbull, Question Time, 28 March 2018
If Malcolm Turnbull crawls away from his promise to take this tax giveaway to the election, it will be the weakest act yet from our weakest ever prime minister.
This is a critical test for Turnbull and Morrisons credibility. If the Government dumps its company tax pledge, Turnbull and Morrison should be dumped with it.
No matter what tricks the Liberals try to pull, Australians know they want to deliver an unfair and unaffordable tax handout to the top end of town and theyll do it as soon as they think they can get away with it .
The next election will be a referendum on Malcolm Turnbulls $80 billion tax giveaway to big business. It will be a choice between Mr Turnbulls plan to send more money to the top end of town while cutting schools and hospitals, and Labors plan for better schools, better hospitals and better income tax cuts.
