Reports this week that Greg Hunt has called on the Northern Territory Government to resign over the Royal Darwin Hospital crisis show just how out of touch the Minister for Health is with the Northern Territory and regional Australia.
The Morrison Government is cutting billions of dollars from our public hospitals nationally, and millions from the Northern Territory.
And Mr Hunt seems to forget it is the job of the Health Minister to work with the states and territories to make sure that Australians have access to hospitals and health care.
Of course its not the first time Greg Hunt has shown such disrespect and contempt for Northern Territorians after he was forced to apologise to the Katherine Mayor last year over a resourcing argument.
The Morrison Government must work constructively with the Northern Territory Government to address the hospital crisis at the Royal Darwin Hospital and make sure Territorians have their fair share of hospital funding in Australia.
Labor will always stand up for the Northern Territory.
Under the Liberals, out of pocket health costs have never been higher and waiting lists have never been longer.
