The Accelerated Depreciation for Small Business Entities Bill, which will extend the $20,000 instant asset write-off for SMEs to June 2019, is again missing from debate this week.
This initiative, largely uncontroversial and extended with bipartisan support has fallen to the wayside, as Turnbull staves off friendly fire from within the Liberal National Party.
Nothing epitomises the futility of this Turnbull Government like failing to legislate that which has clear bipartisan support.
With Labor, 99 per cent of businesses will receive a tax cut, no business will have their tax rate increased, and all businesses will be able to plan and invest with confidence and certainty.
